One of the region’s most popular and respected figures, Lou Macari MBE, is set to be the honorary starter for Staffordshire’s biggest running event, the Potters ’arf Marathon on Sunday, 4 October. Lou, who was awarded the MBE in June this year for services to football and tackling homelessness in Stoke on Trent, will be reserving a special cheer for the dozens of runners who will be taking part for the charity he founded a decade ago, the Macari Foundation.
