Potters 'arf Charities
Welcoming our charity partners for 2026
We’re delighted to welcome this year’s charity partners to the Potters ’arf Marathon.
The event has always been about more than running. It brings people together, supports local causes, and gives runners the chance to make every mile mean something. Working with charities across the region is a huge part of what makes Potters ’arf so special.
We’re proud to support the amazing work these organisations do and look forward to helping them raise vital funds, reach new supporters and be part of a brilliant race day atmosphere.
At Dougie Mac, we care for families facing a life-limiting illness
We provide hospice services to adults, young adults and children living with a life-limiting illness; also offering supportive care for their families and carers.
We deliver our adult care services at our hospice in Blurton and services for children and young adults at our site in Trentham. In addition, we extend our care into the local community, including visits to patients’ and service users’ own homes.
It is our mission to provide such an environment and help reverse the spiral of homelessness.
In 2016, a news bulletin about homelessness drove Lou Macari out of his house and on to the streets of Stoke-on-Trent to find out what life was like for someone who was homeless.
Having seen the level of need in his adopted city, Lou decided to do everything he could to help those who find themselves homeless, work towards better lives.
From humble beginnings, the Macari Centre (Victoria) in Stoke-on-Trent, now provides support and accommodation in self-contained apartments.
Port Vale Foundation uses the power of Port Vale Football Club to improve lives and communities.
We work across Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire supporting people in a range of different ways. We believe that by using the power of the club, we can help people to enhance their lives and the communities in which they live through a range of interventions.
We support people from many walks of life and enable to them realise their own potential and achieve their own personal goals. In 2023/24 season, we supported 5,000 people with meaningful impact and made a considerable difference to their lives.
Every 10 seconds, we answer a call for help.
Thousands of volunteers from all walks of life are here every day and night. Listening without judgment. Whoever you are. Whatever your background, beliefs, faith or identity.
We make sure there’s always someone to listen if you’re in crisis or feeling suicidal. And we unite to raise awareness of people’s experiences, create partnerships and campaign for suicide prevention.
Every hour. Every day. Every life. If you believe the power of human connection can prevent suicide, join us.
