Potters Arf launch

Nearly 200 people have already signed up to take part in this year's Potters 'Arf half-marathon.
A publicity campaign to promote the race was launched at The Potteries Shopping Centre on Saturday.
Rob Hassall, marketing manager for Hanley Economic, which is sponsoring the June 13 race, said: "The first people who signed up were given half-price entry to the race and we had about 170 people in total.
"There was a lot of interest and we are expecting another great race this year."
Anyone interested in entering can pick up an application form from one of Hanley Economic's branches or fill in an online application on the Potters 'Arf website.
Entry into the race, which is raising funds for the Douglas Macmillan Hospice and Love Stoke, costs £13 for running club members and £15 for others.

Medals for all!

The 2010 potters arf marathon will see the time bonus medals alter with runners who finish in under1 and a 1/2 recieve a gold medal runners completing the course in 1-45 getting a silver and runners who run the course in under 2 hours geting a bronze medal. All other runners who complete the course will get a standard medal, all runners will get the famous potters arf t-shirt.
